#419HerStory with Adriane Weisert

Updated: Oct 5, 2021

October is National Women-Owned Business month and we are excited to kick off the month with Adriane's story. Being an NWO native and female business owner, Adriane has a beautiful story to tell. Here is #herstory.

Adriane grew up in Northwest Ohio and attended Bowling Green State University when the internet was "brand new" as she put it. Since then, she has been a manager and trainer for a diverse range of companies. Most recently, she served as a Director of Christian Education and left to pursue other avenues, including creating Frisky Whiskey with her lifelong friend, their party and entertainment business that brings loads of fun wherever they go. When isn't teaching others her incredible cocktail curating skills through Frisky Whiskey, she stays very busy. Her husband, sons, daughter, grandson, and plethora of animals make sure she doesn't have a chance to get bored. As the saying goes- no rest for the wicked, but that's ok because Disney villains are her favorite!

Adriane shared that "it's ok to not know where you're going yet- but don't give up! I put a lot of pressure and guilt on myself because I didn't know right away. I'm just now getting into my groove and exploring what I wanted to do for the rest of my career. Explore, try new things, go on adventures! You will know it's meant to be when you feel joy doing even the most mundane tasks. Your journey is about you and unique- don't give in to the temptation to compare yourself to the others around you." She's a shining example that everything happens exactly how it is supposed to, even when it feels wrong. As long as you keep pushing and striving to learn about yourself, try new things and enjoy life, you will figure out your future.

Her key to success is simple: meet others where they are and without judgment. She says that being able to meet people as they are has allowed her to hear stories and have experiences that she never would have otherwise. Those are the moments that have helped her grow and become who she is today.
